On September 8, 2025, Mr. Ekachart Seetavorarat, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce, presided over the opening ceremony of the 8th International Gem and Jewelry Conference (GIT 2025). The event was attended by leading experts, academics, designers, entrepreneurs, and investors from around the world.
 

This year’s conference was held under the theme “Responsible Gem & Jewelry Supply Chain”, reinforcing Thailand’s role as a regional hub for academic excellence and innovation in the gem and jewelry industry. The event served as a global platform for sharing knowledge, exploring new trends, and exchanging insights on sustainability, innovation, and industry development.

In addition, conference participants were given a special opportunity to visit the 72nd Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair, held from September 9–13, 2025 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center.
