In a world where creativity drives the industries of tomorrow, the Gem and Jewelry Institute of Thailand (Public Organization), or GIT, proudly launches the 19th World Jewelry Design Awards under the inspiring theme: “Future Elegance: Timeless Designs for Tomorrow.” This global design competition invites young talents and jewelry enthusiasts all over the world to reinterpret timeless elegance through future-forward perspectives and craft jewelry pieces that reflect enduring beauty, culture, and innovation.

This annual international platform not only encourages participants to unleash their creative vision but also highlights Thailand’s role in propelling the global creative economy through the jewelry and gemstone sector. This year’s theme focuses on the seamless fusion of luxury, innovation, and cultural roots—translated into meaningful, visionary jewelry collections that hold commercial potential and sustainability for the future.

Submissions are now open until 31 May 2025. Applicants are invited to submit a collection of at least three jewelry designs, including a necklace and other items such as earrings, rings, or bracelets. Designs can be hand-drawn or computer-generated and must be original, never previously submitted or awarded in any competition. Entries may be submitted online via www.gitwjda.com or by post.

Winning entries will receive cash prizes totaling over USD 7,000, including honorary trophies. Selected finalists will also have the opportunity to bring their designs to life through industry collaboration, with works showcased in an exclusive exhibition at a leading venue in Bangkok.

A special highlight of the competition is the GIT Popular Design 2025, where 30 shortlisted designs will be published online for public voting, giving audiences a chance to select their favorite design and award the popular vote prize.

GIT is also unveiling a special surprise for designers with the launch of the 'Design Gallery by GIT' platform (designgallery.git.or.th). This new online space allows designers to showcase and sell their jewelry creations, offering a cost-free opportunity to expand their commercial reach.
